Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before buying

Is the 26-week maternity leave for every working woman?

It applies to eligible women covered by the Code on Social Security, 2020 — broadly, those who have worked at least 80 days in the 12 months before the expected delivery. Central Government employees get 180 days under their own leave rules, and ESIC-insured women get 26 weeks at full wage through ESIC. The playbook explains each route.

Do I get paid during maternity leave?

Yes. Maternity benefit is paid at your average daily wages for up to 26 weeks. It is paid leave, and your job is protected.

Can I claim PMMVY and Janani Suraksha Yojana together?

Yes. JSY is paid in addition to PMMVY; the two schemes are designed to stack, so an eligible family can receive both.

Does my normal health insurance cover delivery?

Usually not without a maternity rider or a maternity-inclusive plan, and those carry a waiting period — commonly 9 months, sometimes up to 48 months. A rider bought after conception will not cover that delivery. The playbook shows exactly which clauses to read.

Is the government vaccination schedule really free?

Yes. The National Immunization Schedule vaccines are free at all government health facilities. Private clinics may charge for the same vaccines plus optional ones not in the free schedule.

How soon must I register the birth?

Within 21 days it is free and simple. Delays add small fees, and after one year you need a magistrate's order. The birth certificate then unlocks Aadhaar, the passport and school admission.

Is Sukanya Samriddhi only for daughters?

Yes. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is for a girl child below 10 years. For a son, the playbook recommends PPF plus an equity SIP instead.

How do I download the playbook after payment?

After successful payment on Razorpay, you are automatically redirected to a thank-you page with a download button. Click it to get your PDF instantly — it is yours forever.

Is this medical advice?

No. It is a money, benefits and paperwork guide. It does not replace your doctor, your hospital or a qualified adviser. The vaccination schedule is reproduced from the Government of India's National Immunization Schedule so you know what to expect and what is free.

Can I get a refund?

Digital products are non-refundable because they are instantly downloadable. But if you receive a defective or corrupted file, or were charged incorrectly, we will replace or resolve it — just email us within 7 days.
